Skin Care Consultations

The most critical step to protecting your investment made for in-office treatments Why I love it? • One-on-one time with me to discuss your skin concerns and aesthetic goals • A personalized assessment your skin and prescribe a plan for your specific needs. • Walk out the door with a bag of skincare products for your specific needs to enhance the effects of your in-office treatments. • Perfect for everyone but especially those who have special events such as birthdays or weddings for which they are preparing and want to look fabulous on their special day Frequency of Treatments: Once as a new client and follow up appointments as needed to document your progress towards your skincare goals What to expect at your appointment? 1. I will obtain a detailed medical history and identify your areas of concern We will discuss what’s worked and not worked, what bothers you and what kind of results you expect I will educate you about the causes of your concerns and treatment options along with risks and benefits leaving you feeling more informed than when you arrived. 2. I will recommend medical grade skincare products to help you achieve your goals and give referrals for other medical providers if there are underlying medical conditions that may be contributing to your skin concerns.

Before Your Appointment • Schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event if you intend on receiving a treatment at your appointment. • Please see specific treatment pages for the treatment you desire and more specific pre- and post-treatment tips. • Arrive to your consultation with a bare face to assist me in assessing your skin properly. If you are unable to come without makeup, you can wash your face upon arriving.

After Your Treatment • I recommend using your skin care routine like you would any prescription medication (i.e. use products as instructed and use at frequency prescribed). • It usually takes 8-12 weeks before significant results are seen due to skin cell turnover rate and the time it takes the skin to build a tolerance to certain active ingredients. • Schedule a follow up appointment in 8-12 weeks to determine if your skin care routine and treatment plan need any adjustments. Chronic skin concerns such as acne, melasma, and rosacea typically recur, and maintenance therapy is an important component of skin health management.
